I am a mama, marathoner, run coach and executive producer in television. I grew up playing soccer, and always found joy in running, but didn't get serious until my adult years. In 2015, I signed up for her first marathon in Philly and lined up unsure if I’d finish 26.2 that day! I debuted with a 3:21 and a BQ, without even wearing a watch! Initially, I thought this would be my only marathon -- not even close. A few years later, I went on to qualify for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Marathon Team Trials with my current personal best of 2:42:09 (Berlin 2019).

In 2016, I started training more seriously, coaching myself and ran my second marathon at the NYC Marathon in 2:59, surprising myself by breaking 3 hours and placing 60th female. In my third marathon, Berlin 2017, I knocked off another 10 minutes with a 2:49, which was good for 35th female and 5th American. I have now run over 12 marathons including Boston, London, CIM, and Chicago.

Everything changed (for the better!) for me when I recently became a mother to my daughter, Adela in June 2023. I now have a unique perspective on postpartum return to running and balancing family demands and training. I also breastfed for over 20 months while high quality training and ran a 2:45 marathon at 15 months postpartum (while still nursing). I have coached many women through fertility treatments, pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding and while juggling family life as new moms (and dads!).

I love to set big goals for myself and help others do the same, but if I’ve learned anything, it's that balance and recovery are the keys to growth. As someone who used to count herself out before the gun went off, I’m passionate about mental health and positive body image in the sport. I hope I can inspire athletes to dream big and work hard, while elevating balance, patience and longevity in the activity we all love to do!
